Ongoing: Breast Cancer Support Group | Meets the first Tuesday of each month at 1:00 pm
Ongoing: Diabetes Support Group | Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am in the CVMC meeting room at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville.
Ongoing: Men's Cancer Support Group | Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm
Ongoing: Coping With Change Support Group | Meets the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month at 9:30 a.m. at the Douglas County Senior Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane.
Ongoing: Weight Loss Support Group | Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:15 p.m. at Carson Valley Medical Center's main campus/Sagebrush Room.
Ongoing: Caregivers of Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Group | Meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 10:30 am at the Douglas County Community Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane.

Great Outdoors Health Fair

Carson Valley Medical Center -- 1107 Highway 395 N, Gardnerville, NV 89410

Carson Valley Medical Center's annual Great Outdoors Health Fair is scheduled to take place Saturday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon on its main campus, 1107 Highway 395 N in Gardnerville.
 

Free flu shots, along with a number of free health screenings -- including body mass analysis, blood pressure checks, glucose screenings, dental screenings and vision screenings, among others -- will be available along with a great slate of raffle prizes and outdoor fun.

There will be face painting and balloon animals for the kids and K-BUL 98FM will be on hand to do a live radio remote. 

CPR training will be offered and the fair will also be a collection site for the fall Prescription Drug Roundup for unused prescription drug disposal.
